Om:

Faezeh Valadan (born 1993, Tehran) is an interdisciplinary artist whose work explores the intersection of Eastern and Western philosophies and cultures. She pursued a master’s degree in fine art at Kunstakademiet i Trondheim in 2022 and currently she is working at Nordenfjeldske kunstindustrimuseum.

Her artistic practice expands the boundaries of painting into interactive installations, seeking to bridge reality with the dream world. Valadan challenges conventional understandings of these realms not only conceptually but also through experimental methods.

She is presently working on a project titled Dim Rhythm, from which the first three images depict key artworks.

Focused on cross-cultural identity, Dim Rhythm intertwines the philosophical foundations and artistic nuances of both Eastern and Western traditions, depicting intricate patterns reminiscent of endless hairs, fingerprints, tiles, paves on streets, streams of water, or lines on trees.

Through the metaphorical interplay of shadows and light, she highlights the shared human experiences that bind us together. These patterns symbolise solidarity and interconnectedness, forming parts of a larger narrative rooted in compassion and shared dreams—a mosaic of diverse cultures, woven together by the thread of empathy. Each line turned, each motive created, transcends cultural boundaries, evokes an unspoken promise of inclusion, whispering “You are not alone; we stand with you.”
