About:

Pil Ulheim (f. 2003, Ålesund) jobber interdisiplinært med readymades, installasjon og relasjonell estetikk. Han jobber med tematikk i fokus framfor materiale og er utforskende i sitt uttrykk. Pil gikk på Ytre Kunstfagskole i Ålesund, og er foreløpig student ved bachelorprogrammet på Kunstakademiet i Trondheim. I kunsten sin er han opptatt av å framme problemstillinger transpersoner møter, og å gi en stemme til det kjønnskreative miljøet.

Pil Ulheim (b. 2003, Ålesund) works interdisciplinary between readymades, installation and relational aesthetics. He works with a theme in mind, rather than material and is exploratory in his expression. Pil went to Ytre Art College in Ålesund and is currently a student at the bachelor programme at Trondheim Academy of Fine Arts. In his pracrice, he cares about showing challenges that transgender people face, and giving a voice to the gender creative community.

In my studio:

In my studio, you will find the project that I dedicate the most time to, which is Pils Salong. This is a free hairsalon where I take visitors close to every day as a part of a relational practice. You will see artifacts used in different iterations of the projects, as well as the space I use as an office. Its full of many different expressions and things to look at, so lots to explore.
