Tuda Muda, also known as Samrridhi Kukreja, (b. 1991 in India) is a visual artist based in Trondheim who works with a focus on the perception of self and what determines that perception, especially under the influence of patriarchy. In her cross-continental practice, she uses herself as a medium within a medium where her works are often in the form of drawings, videos and Installations. She graduated in 2017 with a BFA in traditional printmaking methods from College of Art, New Delhi, India and in 2021 with a MFA from Kunstakademiet I Trondheim, NTNU, Norway.
She recently had her first Solo show at Standard (Oslo), from which her drawings were acquired by the Nasjonalmuseet of Norway. She has participated in multiple group exhibitions around Norway including the inaugural exhibition at K-U-K Kjøpmannsgata Ung Kunst curated by Elmgreen & Dragset and Rhea Dall in Trondheim. She recently concluded an artist residency at Entrée in Bergen and published her first Zine in collaboration with Oslo based publishers Footbooks. She will be exhibiting her latest experimental installation titled “Blink” at the upcoming group show, “Storyteller- Historieforteller” at Atelier Ilsvika on 22nd of October in Trondheim for Trondheim Open 2022.
