Monika Mørck (b. 1984) is a graduate of the Accademia Italiana, Florence (I) and Oslo National Academy of the Arts (KHiO) where she took her master’s degree in 2013. After many years in Oslo, she has now moved back to her hometown Trondheim. Based on her own experiences, Monika Mørck examines issues related to female identity and sexuality. The works take the form of embroidered and applique tapestries, montages, and installations of interconnected ropes and silk textiles.
