About:

Pramila Giri has been a part of Gregus Kunstnerverksteder since 2003. Her practice unfolds both in Norway and Nepal. In the heart of Kathmandu, she has a house with both a studio and a sculpture garden. In Trondheim she creates paintings inspired of her own impressions of nature. And in Kathmandu she has the facilities to work with large scale sculptures.

About her work she says: “Memories of impressions influence my work. The intensity of the light in the Nordic summer, the wide ocean of the North Atlantic at Sula, or the mountains of Lofoten. But it does not need to be spectacular. Everyday experiences are just as imposing. Like a memory of my daily walk to the studio, through the small forest of Kristiansten fortress, through Møllenberg to Buran, to meet good friends.”
