About:

Tove Axel-Nilsson Karlsson works across painting, sculpture and installation. Her work explores the relationship between control and dissolution, and how materials, forms and bodies are affected by the spaces and structures they become part of.

Her work often emerges from painting but extends into space. She explores tensions between surface and body, stability and instability, and how form develops through the encounter between material, structure and space.

Her practice is process-based and develops through experimentation with materials, form and spatial conditions.
