Stretching is fundamental to my studio practice. There, I draw and paint flat tempera fields based on geometric shapes. On top of these fields, I create a collage using my sketches.
In the different layers of the painting, I am engaged in various processes: In the color samples and geometry, I am exploring systems; in the drawing, I am involved in my personal narrative.
I aim to explore how symbols, images, and visual signals shape our consciousness and perception of reality.
In my work, I focus on understanding and exploring alternative states of consciousness. By examining the invisible mechanisms behind these processes and their connection to material structures, I highlight how symbols can create a false consciousness that obscures the true material basis of our lives.
I am particularly interested in how our perception of reality changes depending on context. Each image and symbol carries hidden forces that influence our perception and understanding of the world. Drawing inspiration from magical systems, where symbols and rituals are used to affect and reshape consciousness, I explore how these forces can be deliberately harnessed to redefine our reality.
