About:

My artistic practice revolves around a context-critical approach and an original notion of post-infrastructure. I explore a range of mediums, from writing and conceptual analysis to time-based and 3-dimensional media, often incorporating site and context-specific elements into my work. I approach my artistic production with an open-ended mindset, allowing my process to evolve and develop in unexpected ways.

As an artist, I am deeply interested in reflecting on the role of the artist in society today, and creating works that respond to the contemporary moment. I strive to engage with multiple media and institutions within the city, collaborating and researching with fellow artists to create inventive and multifaceted exhibitions.

Throughout my time studying in the BFA and MFA program at KiT, I have undergone significant development in both my participation in the program and my artistic practice. I have a talent for collaborative teamwork with my peers, and I am driven by a contagious curiosity and positive outlook. My artistic approach is trans-disciplinary, witty, cheeky, and characterized by a complexity of thinking that I encapsulate in the term «Post-Infrastructure.»

Post-Infrastructure is formally a set of dogmatic rules that artists can use to create works that explore the materialization and re-purposing of infrastructure. These rules include the use of infrastructure that has been used for a greater good, the re-use or re-purpose of disregarded or dismissed ideas and materials of infrastructure, and the personification of services provided currently or in the past by infrastructure. Post-infrastructure has been used to create works that engage with themes such as sustainability, gentrification, and urbanization, among others. By using post-infrastructure as a conceptual framework, artists can create works that are not only aesthetically compelling but also socially and politically engaged, contributing to a wider discourse around the role of art in society.

My ideas are thoughtfully and convincingly materialized in polymorphic, humorous, and critical ways, with a drive to «make it happen.» I am inspired by artists like Vito Acconci, whose work embraced existential unease, exhibitionism, discomfort, transgression, provocation, wit, and audacity. I aspire to bring these qualities to my own artistic practice and contribute constructively to society
